August 7, 1967- April 3, 2025

James A. King, 57, of Sheridan, NY passed away unexpectedly on Thursday evening April 3, 2025 at his home.

He was born on August 7, 1967 in Jamestown, NY the son of Karen (nee King) Lank.

Jim is survived by his beloved wife Cathleen, "Dianne"(nee Arkins) King, whom he married on April 14, 2012 in Sheridan, NY; his loving mother, Karen (Gabriel Chiappetta) Lank; his canine companion “Roy”.

He was predeceased by his step-father, Dennis Lank.

Jim graduated Silver Creek High School in 1985 and proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy from 2/18/1986 -2/20/1990. He currently worked for the New York State Thruway in Silver Creek, NY as a maintenance supervisor.

He enjoyed spending time with his family especially dining out, shooting skeet & trap, listening to his favorite bands Judas Priest and Iron Maiden. Jim was an excellent cook and liked gardening at “Jim & Roy’s Pepper Farm”, where he was known for his hot peppers and tomatoes, he also was an avid motorcyclist.

Friends may call at the Hole-Parker Funeral Chapel, 160 Central Ave. Silver Creek, NY on Thursday, April 10, 2025 from 4-7 PM. As per his wishes services will be private, burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery.

The family suggests memorial contributions in Jim's memory to the Chautauqua Humane Society,2825 Strunk Rd. Jamestown, NY 14701
