March 8, 1956 – July 24, 2025

George R. Clees, 69, of Silver Creek, NY passed away on Thursday morning, July 24, 2025 at the Chautauqua Nursing and Rehab Center in Dunkirk, NY.

He was born on March 8, 1956 in Silver Creek, NY the son of the late George and Patrina (nee Panzarella) Clees.

George is survived by his two sisters, Susan (Todd) Anderson of Davidson, NC and Melissa (George) Brunn of Silver Creek, NY; also survived by many nieces & nephews.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Catherine (late Tim) Mourer.

George graduated from Silver Creek High School “ Class of 1974”. He worked for many years at Gowanda Correctional Facility as a corrections officer.

George was an accomplished self-taught artist whose work can be appreciated in many places including Sunset Bay and around the local area. He taught himself to play the drums and played with African Djembe Drumming Group at Lily Dale. He also was a diehard Dallas Cowboys fan.

As per his wishes there will be no public viewing. A graveside service will be held on Monday, August 4, 2025 at Glenwood Cemetery Old Main Rd Silver Creek, NY at 10 AM. The family suggests memorial contributions in George’s memory to the American Diabetes Association, the American Heart Association or a charity of your choice.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Hole-Parker Funeral Chapel, 160 Central Ave. Silver Creek, NY
