Richard J. “Rick”Taber

Nov. 20, 1957 – Jan. 20, 2026

Richard J. Taber,68, of Silver Creek, NY passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday morning January 20, 2026 at his home.

He was born in Gowanda, NY on November 20, 1957 the son of the late Donald and Amelia (nee Meaney) Taber.

Surviving are his lifelong partner, Lori (nee Southworth) Taber; a daughter, Kristina (Brandon) Krank of England; a step-daughter, Suzanne Marie Seneca of Irving, NY; three cherished grandchildren, Jade Chamberlain, Christian and Sabrina Seneca; four sisters, Linda (Bob) Kenefic, Dorothy (Wally) Gay, Jeanne Taber and Janine Campbell; also survived by many nieces & nephews.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a step-daughter, Jennifer Lynn Chamberlain, a brother, Ronald Taber and a sister, Donna White.

Rick was a graduate of Gowanda High School “Class of 1975”. He proudly served his county in the U.S.M.C. He worked for Crescent Mfg in N. Collins, NY for many years retiring as the plant manager. He also helped his friends on local farms who needed assistance during harvest time.

Rick was a diehard outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, reading and loved his canine companions, Laci & Holli.

As per Rick’s wishes there will be no viewing and a Celebration of Life will be held at the convenience of the family.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Hole-Parker Funeral Chapel, 160 Central Ave. Silver Creek, NY.
