Sharon S. Gilbert , 84, of Hamburg, NY passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Feb. 10, 2026. Beloved wife of the late Paul Gilbert and the late William Dengler; loving mother of Fred (Tracy) Smith-Dengler; step-mother of Linda (Mike) Steele, Gail (Mark) Storer and Craig (Gretchen) Gilbert; dear sister of Mark (Judy) and  Donald (Joyce) Swanson and Gail (Robin) Baehre; also survived by many nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents, Roger and Evelyn Swanson and a brother, Michael Swanson. Sharon graduated from the Eastman School of Music, earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Music. She was a highly regarded music teacher and an accomplished musician playing the organ and piano at various churches for countless services, weddings and funerals. Upon retirement she continued private piano lessons.  A Celebration of Life will be held at the convenience of the family. Memorials in Sharon’s memory may be made to your local S.P.C.A.
