Obituary of Laurel E. Hotelling
Laurel Hotelling, 54, of Silver Creek, NY passed away Monday, November 13, 2017 at the Buffalo General Hospital in Buffalo, NY. She was born on February 7, 1963 in Jamestown, NY, the daughter of Wayne and Elaine (Beadles)Hotelling.
Laurel was the inspiration for the annual Laurel Run which is held every July in her home town of Silver Creek. She radiated love and was known for her contagious smile, kind spirit and positive attitude.
Laurel attended the Silver Creek Central School and graduated from the BOCES LoGuidice Center. She was a member of the First United Presbyterian Church in Silver Creek. She worked for the past 33 years in the Workcenter of The Resource Center in Dunkirk, NY.
Laurel is survived by her parents, a brother, Richard (Ronnie Cuevas) Hotelling of Bay St. Louis, MS, two sisters, Diane (Patrick DeForrest) Hatfield of Cary, NC and Donna (William)Eathorne of Tolland, CT, four nephews, Donald (Amanda)Hatfield IV, and Daniel Hatfield, Darrick and Jackson Eathorne, and a niece Abigail Eathorne.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Glen and Opal Hotelling, and her maternal grandparents, Leon and Dolores Beadles.
Friends may call at the Hole-Parker Funeral Chapel, 160 Central Ave. on Thursday, November 16, 2017 from 4-8p.m. A memorial service will be held on Friday at 10a.m. at the First United Presbyterian Church, 35 Park Place, Silver Creek with Pastor Thomas Burian officiating.
