Obituary of John D. Minardi

John D.Minardi, age 71, of Liverpool, NY formerly of Silver Creek, NY passed away on Friday, August 18, 2017 at Seneca Health Care in West Seneca, NY. He was born on May 27,1946 in Silver Creek, NY, the son of the late George Jackson and June (Richardson) Minardi. John graduated from Silver Creek High School in 1966, also attended the Dunkirk Industrial Institute where he studied auto mechanics. John worked as a supervisor for Ford Motor Co. in Hamburg, NY until his retirement. He was a past director of the Southern Tier HOG chapter, and a former member of the Silver Creek Fire Dept. John enjoyed hunting, fishing, traveling and was passionate about riding his motorcycle. Survivors include two daughters, Janice (Mark)Gratien of Syracuse, NY and Terry Cox of Santa Clarita, CA., three brothers, Harold (Joann) Jackson of Sinclairville, NY, George(Valerie)Jackson of Summerville, NC, and Joseph Minardi of Fort Pierce, Fla., five grandchildren, Jillian(Ryan Hintz) Groundwater and Trevor Groundwater, Mason, Griffin and Ben Cox, one great granddaughter ,Delilah Michener ,a sister-in-law, Loretta Cornell of Gowanda, NY and a brother-in-law, Richard Smith of Silver Creek, NY. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 48years,Donna Minardi and a daughter ,Julie Minardi. Friends may call at the Hole-Parker Funeral Chapel, 160 Central Ave. on Sunday, August 27, 2017 from 2PM until the time of services at 5PM, internment will be in the Glenwood Cemetery.
