k F. Mead OBITUARIES APR 2, 2017 Frederick F. Mead Frederick F. Mead, 61, of Silver Creek, NY, passed away Thursday afternoon March 30, 2017 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born on Feb. 20, 1956 in Buffalo, NY, the son of the late Harold and Alice (Steen) Mead. Fred was a graduate of Forestville High School, Class of 1974, and served in the U.S. Army as a mechanic from 1974-1976 and in the U.S. National Guard as a Tank Commander from 19771986. A longtime area resident, Fred worked for HarSon Manufacturing in Silver Creek as a molder, grinder and foreman. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, enjoyed gardening, loved cars especially Cameros, Chevy Chevelles and Novas. Survivors include his girlfriend of 27 years, Helen Pfleuger; a son of Frederick L. (Daniel) Mead of Silver Creek; two daughters, Cassandra Mead of Silver Creek, and Elyse Mead of Fredonia, NY; a step son, Shawn Pfleuger of Dunkirk, NY; eleven grandchildren; a sister, Dorothy Pfleuger of Silver Creek; his exwife, Dorothy Huch of Silver Creek. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Harold Mead. Friends may call at the HoleParker Funeral Chapel, 160 Central Ave., Silver Creek, NY on Tuesday, April 4, 2017 from 24 & 68 p.m. Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at 2 p.m. at the Victory Baptist Church, 10659 South Roberts Road, Fredonia, NY with the Pastor Patrick Burke officiating.
