Obituary of Nina J. Botticello

Nina J.Botticello,89, of Silver Creek, NY died Thursday, July 21,2016, at the Gowanda Rehabilitation and Nursing Center She was born on February 2,1927 in Silver Creek the daughter of the late Anthony and Bessie ( Cuccia) Genovese. A lifelong area resident, she graduated from Silver Creek High School , Class of 1945. She worked for a number of years at Silver Creek Preserving , as a food analyst .After the closing of Silver Creek Preserving, she was employed by Lakeshore Hospital in the Dietary Department until her retirement. She was a member of Our Lady of Mt Carmel R.C. Church , where she was a Eucharistic Minister, past officier of the Senior Club, past member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary ,past matron of the Silver Creek Police, and volunteer for the Red Cross. Nina loved to garden, enjoyed crocheting and in her younger years she liked to bowl. Survivors include her daughter , Nance ( Pete Musso) Ortolano of Fredonia, a brother , Anthony ( Rosanne) Genovese of Silver Creek, three grandchildren, Shaun Botticello ,J’Neene(Jason) Sexton , and Sonia(Stan Gizowski) Ortolano, three great grandchildren, London, Amelia ,and Madeleine Sexton . Besides her parents ,she was preceded in death by her husband ,Michael S.. Botticello, a son ,Vito A... Botticello ,two sisters ,Angeline Samuelson and Frances Bartlett.
