Obituary of Stanley F. Napierala
Stanley F. (Stoshu) Napierala, 86 , of Silver Creek , NY passed away Monday , December 21,2015 at the Chautauqua County Nursing and Rehab. Ctr. . He was born on May 13 , 1929 in Cheektowaga , NY the son of the late John and Wladislawa “ Lottie” ( Yankowiak) Napierala .
Stan retired from the Erie-Lackawanna Railroad , where he was a locomotive engineer. A Korean War Veteran , He served in the US Marine Corp ,Inchon, Korea. Stan was the recipient of several service medals including : the National Defense Service Medal , Korean Service Medal w/2 stars , and United Nations Service Medal. He was the owner and operator of several taverns within the Buffalo area.
Stan was a member of the Matthew Glab American Legion Post 1477, Lackawanna ,NY , Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6472, Silver Creek and the Lakeshore Marine Corp League # 231 , Silver Creek.
He is survived by six children , nine grandchildren and a myriad of good friends.
In addition to his parents he was predeceased by three brothers and three sisters. Friends may call at the Hole-Parker Funeral Chapel , 160 Central Ave. , Silver Creek , NY on Monday , December 28,2015 from 4 to 6 p.m.
A Military Honor service will be held Tuesday , December 29,2015 at the Bath National Cemetery , in Bath ,NY at 1:00 p.m., where he will be buried.
