Obituary of Anthony D. Borrello

Anthony D. Borrello, 65, of Silver Creek, NY, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, May 19, 2015 at home. Tony was born in Silver Creek, NY, on July 14, 1949, the son of the late Dominick and Antoinette (Guzzetta) Borrello. He graduated from Silver Creek Central School and from Jamestown Community College in Jamestown, NY. He married the former Jane Timm on June 7, 1975 in Farnham, NY, at St. Anthony's R.C. Church. He is survived by his loving wife of 39 years Jane Borrello, a beloved daughter, Michele (Michael) Grisanti, two cherished grandchildren, Mikey (Buddy) and Marissa Grisanti, a brother and best friend, George (Susan) Borrello, a sister, Nelanne Borrello, all of Silver Creek, NY, a sister-in-law, Eileen (Donald) Webb of Powder Springs, Ga., and also survived by several nieces and nephews, whom he had special relations with. Article Photos Tony was a prominent businessman in the area who owned numerous businesses. They were Pro Oil, Pro Energy, TPS, NAPA, Guarcello's, Sunset Bay Restaurant and the Green Frog. Tony was well-known for his generosity and being a passionate community servant, who fought strongly for the survival of TLC Lake Shore Hospital. He used his resources for the betterment of Silver Creek and surrounding areas. He was the benefactor for many local organizations, especially Tri-County Country Club. He had a vision of revitalization for the community. His memberships included Tri-County Country Club, Shorewood Country Club and many other clubs. He loved working on his tractors with Buddy, golfing, watching "NCIS," playing cards and relaxing at home with his family. Due to the generosity of an Organ Donor and the care of the Cleveland Clinic, Tony was able to extend his life by an additional five years. Friends may call at the Hole-Parker Funeral Chapel, 160 Central Ave., Silver Creek, NY, on Friday, May 22, 2015 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, May 23, 2015 at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel R.C. Church, 165 Central Ave., Silver Creek, NY (everyone please meet at the church). Private interment to follow in Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
