Obituary of Katherine Zanghi

Katherine Zanghi, 91, of Silver Creek, passed away Sunday, August 31, 2014 at TLC Lake Shore Hospital in Irving, N.Y. She was born November 27, 1922 in Fredonia, N.Y., the daughter of the late Angelo and Josephine (Maggio) Diate. Kay enjoyed gardening, listening to music, and spending time with her family. Article Photos Survivors include three children: David (Karlyn) Zanghi of Ann Arbor, Mich., Diane Zanghi of Silver Creek and Joan (Mary Bergevin) Zanghi of Boise, Idaho; three grandchildren: Danean (David) Moran and Matthew Zanghi of Ann Arbor, Mich., and Sheri (D.J.) Wilson of Silver Creek; four great-grandchildren, Katie and Claire Moran and Riley and Melanie Wilson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Angelo Zanghi; sister, Angeline Scaccia; and brother, Samuel Diate. Family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 2, 2014, from 4-8 p.m. at the Hole-Parker Funeral Chapel, 160 Central Ave., Silver Creek, N.Y. Funeral services will be private.
