Obituary of Donna Minardi

ORCHARD PARK - Donna Minardi, age 67, of Orchard Park, NY, died peacefully Friday (Aug. 1, 2014) at Elderwood Health Care at Lakewood in Hamburg, NY. She was born Feb. 28, 1947 in Punxsutawney, Pa., the daughter of the late Glenn and Sarah (Frederick) Smith. A devoted wife, mother and loving grandmother, Donna enjoyed spending time with family and friends, gardening, cooking, and birdwatching. She traveled extensively out West, especially to her daughter Terry's, who lives in Santa Clarita, Calif. Article Photos Donna was a very active member of the Eden United Methodist Church and the Eden United Methodist Women. She also was a former member of the Southern Tier HOG Chapter. She is survived by her husband of 48 years, John Minardi, whom she married Jan. 21, 1966; two daughters, Janice (Mark) Gratien of Syracuse, NY and Terry Cox of Santa Clarita, Calif.; five grandchildren, Jillian and Trevor Groundwater, and Mason, Griffin and Ben Cox; a great-granddaughter, Delilah Michener; a brother, Richard Smith of Silver Creek, NY; a sister, Loretta Cornell of Gowanda, NY; and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Julie Minardi. Friends may call at the Hole-Parker Funeral Chapel, 160 Central Ave., Silver Creek, Sunday, Aug. 3, 2014 from 3-5 p.m., where a memorial service will follow at 5 p.m., with Rev.
