Obituary of Anthony P. Borrello
Anthony P. Borrello, 76, of Sheridan, NY, entered into Eternal Life to be with our Lord and his loving wife Gloria Borrello unexpectedly on July 4, 2014 at Hamot Medical Center, Erie, Pa.
Anthony was the first-born son of Patsy and Minnie Borrello on July 10, 1937 in Silver Creek, NY. He married his one and only love Gloria Schmidt on January 7, 1956 and together they were the proud, loving parents to Paschal J. Borrello, John A. (Mindy) Borrello, Sharleen M. (Leonard Jr.) Szablewski and Barbara A. (Richard) Hoisington, and were blessed with eight beautiful grandchildren, John Borrello Jr., Anthony P. (Kelly) Borrello II, Jessie J. Borrello, Diana Szablewski, Alisha (Dan) Szablewski, Michael A. Borrello, Richard H. (Bridget) Hoisington Jr. and James A. Hoisington. He is also survived by two brothers, Richard (Eileen) Borrello of Silver Creek, NY, and Joseph Borrello of Hamburg, NY.
Anthony worked for his uncle, George Borrello, at Silver Creek Plumbing and Heating for over 20 years. He retired from Al Tech Specialty Steel in Dunkirk, NY, as a pipefitter. He was an expert plumbing and heating man, along with being a carpenter or mechanic until the day he passed away. His children and grandchildren looked to him for advice. Article Photos
Anthony loved NASCAR and was a Jeff Gordon supporter. He was also a loyal Minnesota Vikings fan and enjoyed playing the guitar and mandolin.
He was a very proud, hard-working man that loved his family very much. A loyal and devoted son, brother, husband, father and grandfather who will be missed so very very much.
He went to his eternal resting place and will be greeted by his parents, Patsy and Minnie Borrello, his brothers, Vito, Patsy and Daniel Borrello, and waiting first in line to greet him with a big hug will be his beautiful wife Gloria Borrello, who went before him on July 15, 2012, and his first-born son, Paschal J. Borrello, who entered Heaven's Gates on September 5, 2013. He was also predeceased by his godson and nephew, Patsy Borrello Jr.
Friends may call at the Hole-Parker Funeral Chapel, 160 Central Ave., Silver Creek, NY, from 4-8 p.m. today. A blessing service will be held at the funeral home at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday (July 8, 2014), followed by a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 165 Central Ave., Silver Creek, NY. Interment to follow in the Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
