Lima, 72, of Hamburg, NY, formerly of Silver Creek, NY, died Saturday evening, Feb. 15, 2014 at her daughter's residence in Hamburg. She was born Aug. 11, 1941 in Dunkirk, NY, the daughter of the late Pasquale and Josephine (Sofia) Abbata. A lifelong area resident, Pat worked as a bank teller for M&T Bank in Dunkirk. After retiring, she was employed by Silver Creek Central School as a bus monitor. She was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel R.C. Church in Silver Creek and the Silver Creek Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. Pat appreciated the simple things in life. She enjoyed camping and watching old time "Classic" movies in black and white. She was an avid Yankees fan and liked NASCAR. Pat especially loved to watch her grandsons participate in different sporting events. She looked forward to going to lunch with her very close friends, Beverly and Mary Lou. She also was fond of the family pets, Molly, Maddie and Mia. Survivors include her daughter, Sherri (Stephen) Myers of Hamburg and two grandsons, Samuel and Steven Myers. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband of 30 years, Samuel L. Lima; and two brothers, Anthony and Joseph Abbata. Prayers will be held Wednesday, Feb. 19, 2014 at 9:30 a.m. from the Hole-Parker Funeral Chapel, 160 Central Ave., Silver Creek, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church in Silver Creek. Interment will be in the Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Silver Creek. The family will be present today from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. The family suggests memorial contributions to the Hospice Buffalo, 225 Como Park Blvd., Cheektowaga, NY 14227.
