Obituary of Joyce B. Hall

Obituary Joyce B. Hall, 90, of Silver Creek, NY passed away Friday morning July 2, 2021 at her residence with her family at her side. Joyce was born on October 7, 1930 in South Dayton, NY, the daughter of the late Richard and Elizabeth (Jackett) Butcher. On December 16, 1948 she married George Hall Sr. he preceded in death on August 13, 2016, they shared sixty-eight years of marriage. Joyce is survived by two sons, Thomas Hall Sr. and David (Becky) Hall; a daughter, Janice (Dean) Blake; nineteen grandchildren; twenty-five great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild. In addition to her parents Joyce was predeceased by three children, George Hall Jr., Timothy Hall Sr. and Vondalyn Rogers; three grandchildren, Charles “Chucky” Ferguson Jr., Trina Washington and Thomas Hall Jr. Joyce graduated from South Dayton High School in 1945 and continued her education at D’Youville College in Buffalo earning a Nursing Degree. She retired as a nurse for the NY Geriatric Center in Buffalo, NY after many years of service. She was a member and official greeter along with her late husband George of the First Baptist Church of Silver Creek, they so enjoyed fellowship there as well. Joyce was a very focused and determined individual having been a three- time cancer survivor. She enjoyed planting beautiful vegetable gardens to share. But most all she loved spending time with her family and friends. She will be greatly missed. Relatives and friends may call at the Hole-Parker Funeral Chapel, 160 Central Ave. Silver Creek on Tuesday, July 6, 2021 from 4-7 PM, where a funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 7, 2021 at 11 AM.
