Obituary Robert “Bob” W. Todd,89, of Silver Creek, NY died Tuesday morning March 24,2020 at the Chautauqua County Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Dunkirk, NY. Bob was born on August 15,1930 in Baltimore, Md, the son of the late Mahlon and Rosalie (Nickerson) Todd. He graduated from Avon Old Farms Prep School in Avon, CT. Bob worked and retired as a correctional officer for the Gowanda Correctional Facility in Erie, County, NY. Bob loved the outdoors in his younger years he enjoyed boating with his mother in Manhattan, NY on the Hudson. He participated in many sports, golfing and bowling to name a few. Bob excelled at boxing where he was a Golden Glove featherweight boxing champion. He also was a diehard Buffalo Bills Fan. Survivors include two daughters, Anne Todd-Merriman of Bristol, R.I. and Laura Gould of Whitinsville, MA; four grandchildren, Alexander (Lindsey) and Jesse Merriman, Roka Francis and Matthew (Lauren) Gould; eight great grandchildren; a step-son, Michael Nelson of Irving, NY; three step-grandchildren. In addition to his parents Bob was predeceased by his wife Rose Todd. A Celebration of Bob’s life will be held at a later date.
