Obituary of Barbara M. Chapman

Obituary Barbara M. Chapman age 87 of Silver Creek, NY passed away on Wednesday, March 4,2020 at her home under the care of Hospice of Jamestown, NY and surrounded by her children and grandchildren. Barbara was born on July 1,1932 at her residence on Porter Ave. in Silver Creek, the daughter of the late Robert and Alice (Borchart) Carline Sr. Barbara was close to graduating from Silver Creek High School when her parents were involved in a serious automobile accident and needed at home medical care in which was immediately provided by Barbara. She worked at the original Super Duper market as the office manager until gaining employment as a Dietician at Gowanda State Hospital, where she worked for more than 12 years until her retirement. After her retirement she enjoyed traveling, including Alaska, camping, crocheting, snowmobiling with the Cherry Creek Sno-Goers, gardening and reading novels. You could find Barbara later in life sitting at the window enjoying watching the wild birds and learning their species as it gave her great enjoyment. Barbara was a lifetime ladies auxiliary member of the Silver Creek VFW and a lifetime member of the Zion Lutheran Church of Silver Creek. Survivors include her four loving children, three daughters, Mary Beth Chapman of Virginia, Brenda Buck of Silver Creek, and Laurie (Michael)P Troxell of Portland, NY; a son William (Chappy) Chapman of Silver Creek; nine cherished grandchildren, Tonya Tesori, Jolene Little, Samantha (Michael) Webster, Theodore(Stephanie) Hanson, Matthew (Jody) Chapman, Brittany DeLoe, Kelly Buck, and Jennifer and Jason Chapman; fourteen beloved great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind her loving kitties Jazzi and Tasha. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her daughter Patricia Skinner, a son, Theodore Chapman Jr., a brother, Robert Carline Jr. and her aunt Erma (Borchart) Meisenheimer. Relatives and friends may call at the Hole-Parker Funeral Chapel 160 Central Ave. Silver Creek on Tuesday, March 10,2020 from 2-4 & 6- p.m., where funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 11,2020 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be at the Glenwood Cemetery.
