Obituary of Jean May Luczkowiak

Obituary Jean May Luczkowiak July 15,1954-February 1,2020 Jean May Luczkowiak, 65, of Jamestown, NY, formerly of Sheridan, NY, died Saturday morning at UPMC Hamot Medical Center in Erie, Pa after a brief illness. Jean was born in Fairbanks, Alaska, the daughter of the late George and Evelyn (Pierce) Whitmer. She is survived by her fiancée, Lyle Campbell of Jamestown; a daughter, Heather Luczkowiak of Jamestown; a son, Roger Luczkowiak of Indiana; a grandson, Jaden Rasmus; and a granddaughter, Emma Luczkowiak. In addition to her parents, Jean was preceded in death by a brother, George Whitmer. Jean was a 1972 graduate of Dunkirk High School. She then earned a Bachelor’s degree in Health and Human Resources from D’Youville College in Buffalo, NY. Prior to her retirement, Jean worked in the Human Resources department for Medicaid in Jamestown, NY. She enjoyed playing cards, keeping in touch with family and friends on social media, shopping and especially spending time with her family. A Celebration of Life service will be held at the convenience of the family, date and time to be announced. Interment will be made at the Sheridan Cemetery.
