Obituary of Roger S. Prosneick

Obituary Roger S. Prosneick, 79, of Silver Creek, NY passed away peacefully Tuesday morning, October 15,2019 at his residence, surrounded by his family, following a courageous battle with cancer. Roger was born on August 20,1940 in Buffalo, NY the son of the late Stanley and Helen (Lasker) Prosneick. He studied to be an auto mechanic at Burgard Vocational High School in Buffalo completing the program in 1956. Roger was a U.S. Air Force veteran serving from March 10,1958 until he was honorably discharged on July 6,1960. Roger worked for a number of years as an auto mechanic at Braun Cadillac in Buffalo, he retired from Cliffstar Corporation in Dunkirk, NY. He married Joanne Golemo on April 11,1966 who predeceased him. Roger’s passion was cars, he loved to tinker on them. He also had the ability to fix anything and give things a second life. Therefore, he kept everything as long as it was usable. He also enjoyed watching western movies especially John Wayne and the Buffalo Bills. Survivors include a daughter Lisa (Thomas) Cuccia of Fredonia, NY; a son, Kevin (Melissa) Prosneick of Silver Creek; five grandchildren, Angela, Christopher, Jenna, Andrew, and Samuel; a great granddaughter, Arabella Cuccia; two sisters, Debora (Timothy)Lawton of Medway, MA and Karen (Paul) Solly of Orchard Park, NY; a cousin, Len Lasker. In addition to his parents and his wife of 41 years, Joanne Prosneick, Roger was preceded in death by a daughter Amy Jacchino. A private service with family will be held at a future date.
