Obituary of Anthony J. Genovese

Obituary Anthony J. “Tony” Genovese, 78, of Silver Creek passed away on Monday morning April 5, 2021 at the Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital in Williamsville, NY. He was born in Silver Creek, NY on December 31, 1942 the son of the late Anthony and Bessie (Cuccia) Genovese. Tony was a graduate of Silver Creek Central High School, Class of 1961 and Erie Community College. He worked for Acme and the Super Saver Grocery Stores in Fredonia, NY for a number of years as a manager. When Tony’s children were growing up, he was very active in Silver Creek Little League, enjoyed fishing, gardening and was a dedicated New York Yankees fan. He also cherished his grandchildren, attending their activities whenever possible. Survivors include his wife, Rosanne (Lewandowski) Genovese; a son, Christopher (Kathy) Genovese of Buffalo, NY and a daughter, Peg (Jon) Carmen of Williamsville; two grandchildren, Will and Claire Carmen. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by three sisters, Nina Botticello, Angeline Samuelson and Frances Bartlett. A Celebration of Tony’s life will be held at the convenience of the family. The family suggests memorial donations in Anthony’s memory to the Silver Creek Emergency Squad, 162 Central Ave, Silver Creek, NY 14136.
