Obituary of Douglas C. Christian

Obituary Douglas C. Christian Aug. 25,1951-April 13,2019 Douglas C. Christian, 67, of Stockton, NY died unexpectedly at his residence on Saturday, April 13,2019. He was born in Jamestown, NY, the son of the late Louis and Marilyn (Holm) Christian. Doug was a 1969 graduate of Cassadaga High School. He worked as a correctional officer for the Chautauqua County Jail in Mayville, NY retiring with over 30 years of service. He was a former member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Jamestown and a very active member of the Vikings Lodge #65 of Chautauqua Lake. Doug’s interests including riding and raising horses, daily drives anywhere he would just get in his car and cruise. He enjoyed attending sporting events especially his grandchildren’s, traveling to Maine to visit family and friends and was an avid fisherman. Surviving are his two sons, Michael (Julie) Christian of Forestville, NY and Timothy (Michelle) Christian of Silver Creek, NY; five grandchildren, Skyler, Gavin, Madison, Alexavier, and Anderson Christian; two brothers, David (Michelle) Christian of La Plata, Md. And Darrel (Sue) Christian of Jamestown, NY. Family and friends may call at the Hole-Parker Funeral Chapel 160 Central Ave. Silver Creek on Saturday, April 27,2019 from 11 to 1:00p.m. A memorial service will immediately follow the visitation at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Michael Leamon officiating. Interment will be private. The family suggests memorial contributions in Doug’s memory to the Stockton Volunteer Fire Station, 28 Main St. Stockton, NY 14784.
