Obituary of Nora M. McDonald

Obituary Nora M. McDonald 82 of Buffalo NY passed away March 26, 2019 after a brief battle with cancer. Ms McDonald is survived Nora by her daughters Karen Kaminski of Sarasota Fl. and Kelly (Shawn) Willson of Buffalo,NY, sisters, Diane Marcey of South Dayton, NY, Fran (Richard ) Sauer of Dayton, NY and Natalie Liber of Hamburg, NY, 6 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and 3 great- great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Nora attended Silver Creek Central High School was a homemaker, waitress, factory worker and home health aide before retiring in 1997.She was preceded in death by her parents Daniel and Louise(Flitt) Borrello, by sons Richard and Daniel Parry, a daughter Sharon Scott, a brother Sonny and sisters Diana and Shirley, grandson Ryan Kaminski and her first husband, Jack Parry. Nora was an opinionated woman. She had a keen sense of humor and a love of language. She preferred the pure innocence of animals and children particularly cats. Nora was a crossword aficionado completing them in pen daily up until the last weeks of her life. Nora was a wonderful cook of savory things. Her culinary claim to fame is converting a vegetarian with one whiff of her famous meatballs and sauce. She admitted freely she was not a baker, but she loved her sweets with a good cup of coffee and a daily newspaper. Per Nora's request no services will be held. A celebration of life will be held this summer at which time she will also be laid to rest at Mount Carmel Cemetery with her beloved sons, Richard and Daniel alongside her parents, siblings and her first husband Jack Parry. Before being laid to rest Nora's remains will take a trip to Italy with her daughter and son-in-law.
