Obituary of Ruby J. Seeley

Obituary Ruby J. Seeley, 79, of Forestville, NY passed away on Friday morning February 8, 2019 at the Chautauqua Nursing and Rehab Center in Dunkirk, NY. Ruby was born on November 10, 1939 in Paintsville, KY the daughter of the late Richard and Mary Bell (Penix) Wells. She wed LaVerne Seeley on April 8, 1972 in Sheridan, NY, and they were married for 39 years at the time of his passing on July 11, 2011. She worked in manufacturing for the former Forbes & Wagner of Silver Creek and Bailey Manufacturing Co. in Forestville, NY. Ruby had an infectious personality, she loved people and there were no strangers in her life. She had a “ Heart of Gold” taking care of family and friends when they needed it. Family was paramount to Ruby and she enjoyed making delicious peanut brittle at Christmas for everybody. She and her brother Don were also diehard Buffalo Bills fans. She was an active member of the Samuel Cimino VFW Post 6472 of Silver Creek, receiving accolades for being the top fund raiser in their annual Poppy Fundraiser and the Forestville Senior Citizens Club. Survivors include a son, Donald (Sandra) Wells of Hilton, NY; three daughters, Dyanne (Jim) Gribble of Sherman, NY ,Sue (Donald) Denny of Derby, NY, and Janice Penharlow of Dunkirk, NY; ten grandchildren, Jennifer(Kyle) Whigham, Stacy (Chad) Cummins, Kara (Cal) Saletta, Amber (Jeff) White, Melissa Callahan, Chad Paolini, Tiffany Yerico, Olivia (Ted)Widger, Allison Muck and the late Justin(Halona) Koch; fourteen great grandchildren and one great great grandchild; and a brother, Donald (Marietta) Wells of Vero Beach, Fla. Relatives and friends may call at the Hole-Parker Funeral Chapel 160 Central Ave. Silver Creek, NY on Tuesday February 12, 2019 from 5 to 8 PM, from where Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Wednesday. Burial will follow in the Smith’s Mill Cemetery, Silver Creek.
