Obituary of Raymond A. Rutkowski

Obituary Raymond A. Rutkowski, 76, of Silver Creek, NY died suddenly, Saturday evening January 12, 2019 at TLC Lakeshore Hospital in Irving, NY. He was born in Buffalo ,NY on April 22,1942 the son of the late Bernard and Cecelia ( Panczak) Rutkowski. He married Mary Jane Sobota at Transfiguration R.C. Church in Buffalo on June 10,1967. Surviving are his beloved wife of Silver Creek; adoring son and daughters, Ken (Corrin) Rutkowski of Buffalo, Karen (Matt) Bogosian of Silver Creek and Kathy (George) Quintana of Eden,NY; cherished grandfather of Zak and Alex Bogosian; a sister, Lorraine Golden of Brant ,NY ; a brother, Dennis (late Diane) Rutkowski of Buffalo; a sister-in-law, Marge (late Ron) Picciano of Hamburg, NY. Ray was a 1960 graduate of Burgard High School in Buffalo and retired from General Mills in Buffalo with 33 years of service, where he was known as “Wolfie”. He also served in the Army National Guard. Ray had a great sense of humor, loved the outdoors especially RV trips with family and friends. He had a passion for Cadillacs and his was always spotless. Ray’s family feels he reflected the coolness of the “Fonz” and the kindness of Mr. Rogers. He loved his pets Jack & Jill and had a history of rescuing sick and injured animals. Relatives and friends may call at the Hole-Parker Funeral Chapel 160 Central Ave. Silver Creek, NY on Wednesday January 16, 2019 from 4 to 8p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel R.C. Church 165 Central Ave. Silver Creek, NY at 10 a.m. with Fr. Daniel Fiebelkorn officiating. Interment will be private.
