Obituary of Mary J. Lawton

Obituary Mary J. Lawton, 92, of Waterford ,Pa. formerly of Silver Creek, NY died Monday November 26,2018 at the Saint Vincent Hospital in Erie ,Pa after an extended illness. She was born on March 12, 1926 in Cleveland, Ohio the daughter of the late Thomas and Nina (Messenger) Swartz. On December 16, 1943 she married her soul mate Walter C. Lawton and together they raised nine children. Surviving are four daughters, Susan (Larry) Lyndsley of Alexander City, Al., Wendy Carlson of Waterford ,Pa, Kathy (Terry Caldwell) Lawton of Centerville, Pa. and Shelly (Brian) Rathbun of Titusville, Pa.; a son, Charles (Dolly) Lawton of Ripley, NY; twenty-two grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and a loving husband of 47 years she was preceded in death by two sons, Walter Lawton Jr. and Thomas Lawton, two daughters, Rosemary and Judith Lawton and a sister, Alice Lawton. Mary loved and supported her children, grandchildren and great- grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She was an avid pinochle and rummy player, also loved to cook for everybody. Friends may call at the Hole-Parker Funeral Chapel 160 Central Ave. Silver Creek on Monday December 3, 2018 from noon until the time of services at 2:00p.m. at the funeral home. Rev.
