Obituary of David L Schrantz

David L. Schrantz, 65, of Fredonia, NY passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday morning, November 30, 2021 at his home.

He was born in Dunkirk, NY on June 23, 1956, the son of the late Lawrence and Barbara (Soper) Schrantz. On May 23, 1986 he married Sharon Schreffler in Meadville, NY.

David is survived by his loving wife, Sharon Schrantz; two daughters, Jasey Manning of Silver Creek, NY and Krista Schrantz of Cattaraugus, NY; a son, Nicholas Schrantz of Fredonia; six grandchildren, Austin and Owen Manning, Alexandria Halstrom, Connor Schrantz, Elijah and Landyn Schrantz; two brothers, Steve (Rhonda) Schrantz of San Antonio, TX and John (Diane) Schrantz of Chandler, AZ; two sisters, Sue Schrantz and Linda (Pat) Dobek of Dunkirk, NY; many nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, David was preceded in death by a grandson, Kaidyn Schrantz.

David was a 1974 graduate of Fredonia High School, he continued his education at Erie 2 BOCEs in Fredonia, where he became certified in the masonry trade. He was employed by E2CCB in Fredonia where he recently retired On August 30, 2021 with more than fifteen years of service, also worked part-time at the Green Frog in Silver Creek for 12 years

He was a former member of the Fredonia Beaver Club and the Dunkirk Conservation Club.

David was a strong, hardworking dedicated family man. He had a great sense of humor, enjoyed comedy, classic rock, gardening and playing the lottery. He also was an accomplished quiots player, having won a few tournaments he entered.

Family and friends may call at the Hole-Parker Funeral Chapel, 160 Central Ave. Silver Creek, NY on Wednesday, December 8, 2021 from 11-1 PM and 3-5 PM. Interment will be private.
