Obituary of Grace S Pagano

Grace S. Pagano, 100, of Silver Creek, NY passed away on Wednesday, June 1, 2022 at the Chautauqua Nursing and Rehab Center in Dunkirk, NY.

She was born on November 21, 1921 in N. Collins, NY, the daughter of the late Anthony and Mary (Privitere) Pisa. She married Steven C. Pagano on February 15, 1941 at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel RC Church in Silver Creek, NY. He preceded her in death on April 30, 2005.

Grace is survived by two sons, David Pagano of Silver Creek and Robert Pagano of Boston, NY; a daughter-in-law, Patricia (Mleczko) Pagano; six grandchildren, Paul (Diane) Pagano, Marge (Donald) Close, Jessica Hale, Robert Jr., Thomas and Michael Pagano; four great-grandchildren, Marisa and Chris Pagano, Emily and Jacob Malette; a brother, Richard (Sylvia) Pisa of Forestville, NY.

Grace worked for Precision Manufacturing in Silver Creek making parts for the WWII effort and managed Steve’s Truck Stop Diner, which was owned by her and her husband Steve.

She loved to cook and was known for her “Classic Italian Lasagna” and cuccidati cookies. Grace also enjoyed playing cards and gardening.

Friends may call at the Hole-Parker Funeral Chapel, 160 Central Ave, Silver Creek, NY on Monday, June 6, 2022 from 6-8 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM Tuesday, June 7, 2022, at Our Lady of Mt Carmel RC Church. Committal will be in the Mt Carmel Cemetery.
