Obituary of Betty Schindler Rogers
Betty Schindler Rogers, 98, passed away on Friday, July 8, 2022, in her Boynton Beach, Fla., home. Betty was born on Nov. 30 1923, on the Cattaraugus Indian Reservation, the daughter of the late Martin and Alice (Mohawk) Schindler. Betty was a proud member of the Seneca Nation (Deer Clan). Betty is survived by one son, James (Sharon) Burns; two granddaughters: Ashley (Dylan) Burns and Shelley Burns; five great grandchildren, two great great-grandchildren; and many, many nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by two sons: Paul Christopher Burns and John Michael Burns; eight siblings: Evelyn, Edna, Carrie, Cora, Ellsworth, Marshall, Cyrus and Louis Schindler. Betty loved traveling, her beloved pets, flower gardens, listening to big band, gospel and soft rock music. She cherished visiting with family and friends. Betty was a snow “deer” that enjoyed the New York summers and the warm Florida winters. She will be greatly missed by many. A service will be forth coming and will be announced by the Hole-Parker Funeral Chapel, 160 Central Ave., Silver Creek, N.Y.
