Obituary of Rachel Bomasuto

Rachel  Z. Bomasuto

April 21, 1925 – April 26, 2023

Rachel Zappie Bomasuto, 98, of Syracuse, NY formerly of Silver Creek, NY passed away peacefully at Loretto Health & Rehabilitation Center in Syracuse, NY.

She was born on April 21, 1925 in Sheridan, NY, the daughter of the late James and Lucy (Perrillo) Zappie.

Rachel  married the love of her life, Michael A. Bomasuto on October  16,1948 in Silver Creek, NY and he preceded in death on March 17, 2004.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory a son, Michael (Kathleen) Bomasuto; four cherished grandchildren, Nicole Bomasuto, Melissa (Ryan) Harrington,

Michael (Maria) Bomasuto and Justin (Paige) Rivera; eight great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by a daughter, Marilyn and a brother, Joseph Zappie.

Rachel worked for a short period of time for the Silver Creek School District and Quality Markets.

She loved working crossword puzzles, crocheting and always had a glass of wine daily.

Friends may call at the Hole-Parker Funeral Chapel, 160 Central Ave. Silver Creek, NY on Sunday, April 30, 2023 from 4-7 PM.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, May 1, 2023 at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel RC Church 165 Central Ave.

Silver Creek at 10 AM. Burial will follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
