SHIRLEY R. (PFLEUGER) ESTEE

 

April 28, 1932 – February 7, 2024

Shirley R Estee, 91, of Virginia Beach, Va., formerly of Silver Creek, NY passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 7 2024

after a short illness. She was born in Silver Creek on April 28, 1932 the daughter of the late Ray and Ethel (Nordblum) Pfleuger.

Shirley graduated from Silver Creek High School. She married William C. Estee on

November 18th , 1950 at the Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Farnham, N.Y. They were married 61

years until his death on September 9th  2011.

She is survived by a daughter Darlene Estee of Virginia Beach, Va., grandchildren Sarah (Harley)

Barletta, Alyssa and  Michael Estee and great grandson William Barletta all of Rochester, N.Y.

Besides her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by her son, Kevin R. Estee and her

brother Charles Pfleuger.

Shirley had a long work history first the former Forbes and Wagner, then Silver Creek Central

School cafeteria,  and of course the family farm.

She was an avid Bingo player. She was a member of the Eastern Stars. She attended Christ

Chapel Wesleyan Church.

There will be a Celebration of her life at Hole- Parker Funeral Chapel, 160 Central Ave Silver Creek, NY from 11 to 1 pm on

Thursday, April 25 2024. The family suggests memorial contribution be made to Legacy Hospice
