Laura A. Walsh, 64, of Silver Creek, NY passed away on Friday evening, May 31, 2024 at Brooks Memorial Hospital in Dunkirk, NY.

She was born on Sept. 14, 1959 in Gowanda, NY, the daughter of the late Phillip and Mona (Creekmur) Smith. On March 17, 2001 she married Michael P. Walsh in Buffalo, NY.

Laura graduated from Pine Valley High School in 1977, she continued her education at Jamestown Community College earning an Associate Degree in Criminal Justice. Laura worked as a Corrections Officer for Lakeview Shock Incarceration Center in Brocton, NY retiring in 2011.

Laura is survived by her beloved husband of 23 years, Michael P. Walsh; a daughter Hanna Walsh of Silver Creek; two brothers, Mark (Kathy) and Matthew (Maria Monagan) Smith of Jamestown; a sister, Lisa (David) Anderson of Jamestown, NY; also survived by many nieces & nephews.

As per Laura’s wishes services will be private. Interment will be in Leon Cemetery.
