Judith “Judy” VanVlack,72 , of Silver Creek, NY passed away on Friday morning, June 9,2017 after a courageous battle with cancer at the TLC Health Network in Irving, NY surrounded by her loving family. Judy was born on September 22, 1944 in Silver Creek, the daughter of the late Angelo and Mary(Dattilo)Botticello. She was a lifelong area resident, growing up in Silver Creek and graduating from Silver Creek Central School , Class of 1962, where she worked for many years in the cafeteria. She later transferred to SUNY Fredonia. Judy was a supervisor in the food service dept. for over 30years.She considered the students a part of her extended family and made sure they were all well fed. She married the love of her life, Dale W. Van Vlack on August 1, 1964 at her church, Our Lady of Mt. Carmel R.C. Church in Silver Creek. She was a former member of Tri-County Country Club. An avid Buffalo Sabres and Bills fan, she enjoyed cooking, gardening, and trying her luck at the local casinos. In the summer Dale and Judy attended many car shows, traveling in their” 36 Chevy Coup”. Judy was well known for her infectious smile and loved to entertain family and friends. Family was everything to her. They will tell you ,she was the sweetest person one could ever meet. Survivors include her loving husband of 52years, Dale W. Van Vlack, devoted mother of a Dale W. Judy was born on September 22, 1944 in Silver Creek, the daughter of the late Angelo and Mary(Dattilo)Botticello. She was a lifelong area resident, growing up in Silver Creek and graduating from Silver Creek Central School , Class of 1962, where she worked for many years in the cafeteria. She later transferred to SUNY Fredonia. Judy was a supervisor in the food service dept. for over 30years.She considered the students a part of her extended family and made sure they were all well fed. She married the love of her life, Dale W. Van Vlack on August 1, 1964 at her church, Our Lady of Mt. Carmel R.C. Church in Silver Creek. She was a former member of Tri-County Country Club. An avid Buffalo Sabres and Bills fan, she enjoyed cooking, gardening, and trying her luck at the local casinos. In the summer Dale and Judy attended many car shows, traveling in their” 36 Chevy Coup”. Judy was well known for her infectious smile and loved to entertain family and friends. Family was everything to her. They will tell you ,she was the sweetest person one could ever meet. Survivors include her loving husband of 52years, Dale W. Van Vlack, devoted mother of a Dale W.
