Obituary of Kerry Marie Sek

Kerry M. Sek, 44, of Honeoye, NY formerly of Silver Creek, NY passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, May 23, 2023 after complications from an automobile accident.

Kerry was born on April 10, 1979 in Dunkirk, NY, the daughter of John and Bonnie(Leavell) Long.

She graduated from Silver Creek High School in 1997 and attended D’Youville College. Kerry married the love of her life Dan Sek in Sheridan, NY on August 22, 2004. Together they raised two cherished sons, TJ and Jack. Beyond being a devoted mother, she had various jobs in childcare.

Kerry found her true calling in breeding and raising English Labrador retrievers. This led her to start her own company, Hemlock Hill Labradors.

She will be remembered as a loving wife, devoted mother, cherished daughter, dear sister and a great friend. Her loved ones will hold with them countless memories of her unique sense of humor and boundless energy. She will be forever missed.

Survivors include her loving husband, Dan Sek and two sons, Antonio and Jack; her beloved mother, Bonnie and step-father, Douglas Lesinski; her dear siblings, Sarie (Eric) Horne, John, Kevin (Anna) and Ryan Long; she is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, John E. Long and a sister, Jennifer Louise Long.

Friends may call at the Hole-Parker Funeral Chapel, 160 Central Ave. Silver Creek, NY on Wednesday, June 7, 2023 from 10-1 PM, where a Memorial service will immediately follow at 1PM. Interment will be private at Mt Carmel Cemetery. Flowers gratefully declined. Memorial contributions in Kerry’s  memory may be made to the Chautauqua County Humane Society,2825 Strunk Rd., Jamestown, NY 14701.
